What This Policy Covers

This page explains how we research, write, and review the cost guides, comparisons, and project articles published on our blog. It does not cover the service pages elsewhere on this site, which describe our own work directly rather than report on a topic.

Written From Our Own Work

Our articles are built around the pricing, materials, and project types we actually quote and install across Toronto, Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, and Milton. When we give a price range for a retaining wall or a drainage fix, that range comes from our own service pricing, not from a national average or a competitor's blog. Where a topic falls outside what we install ourselves, we say so plainly rather than present it as firsthand experience.

Reviewed Before Publishing

Every article is reviewed and approved by Connor Hakime, Founder, Conscape Canada, before it goes live. That review checks the pricing against current job costs, confirms the permit and regulatory information is accurate for the municipalities we serve, and makes sure the advice reflects how we would actually handle the situation on a real property.

Keeping Articles Current

Material costs, labour rates, and municipal permit thresholds change. When we become aware that an article's pricing or regulatory detail is out of date, we update the article rather than leave an outdated number live. We do not silently rewrite an article's substance after publication; a visible update is how we handle a material correction.

Independence

We do not accept payment, free product, or any other consideration in exchange for recommending a material, brand, or supplier in an article. Product and material mentions reflect what we would actually use or recommend on a GTA property, based on our own experience with them.

Corrections

If you find a factual error, an outdated price, or a broken link in one of our articles, please tell us. Email admin@conscapecanada.ca with the article title and what you believe is wrong. We will look into it and correct the article if the correction is warranted.
