Landscape Architect, Designer, or Design-Build

Three different roles get used interchangeably, and the difference matters when a project involves structure or a permit.

A landscape architect is licensed, and is the right call for structural work, significant grading, or drawings that must be stamped for a municipality
A landscape designer focuses on layout, planting, and appearance. The title is not licensed, so portfolios matter more than credentials

How to Choose Someone to Design Your Yard
